Rockeling Bay

Category : Bay

This feature was originally known as "Rocketing Bay," according to longtime residents, because of the huge flocks of ducks that could be seen "rocketing" into the bay in the fall. The name has undergone several spelling changes since that time. The name Rockeling Bay was applied to a school built in SE29-41-20-W4 in 1905 (this may be when the first spelling change occurred) and is still in use as a district name.

Approximately 15 km east of Bashaw.
