About this volunteer:
An astounding personality with a history of community service spanning 57 years to date! Ali started volunteering at age 8 assiting Palestinian refugees in his homeland of Gaza. Throughout his life, Ali has remained committed to providing support to the underprivileged and those with disabilities. Ali's work with WSA began in 2002 as a woodworking assistant in our Work Opportunities Program. He quickly became an integral member of the team and was "promoted" to supervise recycling and computer activities. In addition to three days or more each week at Work Opps, Ali helps with every Association event and assists with some administrative projects. Hard to believe he also has time to volunteer at the U of A Hospital, for a local pharmacy, with the Arab community, and with other seniors. Even harder to believe, Ali has recently undergone his second heart surgery! Ali is a shining example of committment to serving his community. We are very fortunate to be part of his life.
