  • Fred and Cardo Marro were members of the Canmore baseball team that won the National Park League, ca. 1924.  Image from Canmore - The Story of an Era.A. and Fred Marro-They are mentioned in Appleby's Canmore:  The Story of An Era as having been members of the Elks Band in 1923. Fred and Cardo Marro played in the baseball team, which were winners of the National Park League, c1924.
     
  • Angelo Maschio was a hockey player in the Makino's in the early 1930s.  Image from Camore - The Story of an Era by Edna (Hill) Appleby.Maschio Family-They are mentioned in Appleby's Canmore:  The Story of An Era as having come to Canmore when the Bankhead mine closed. Angelo Maschio is mentioned as having been a member of a Canmore School Class in the Thirties and as a hockey player in the Makino's. A. V. Maschio is listed on the Roll of Honour for Second World War men enlisted from Canmore.

A young Vic Riva, son (?), was a member of the Canmore Hockey Team in 1927 and the 1930s, which won the provincial Senior Hockey championship. J.H. Riva, D.M. Riva, W.J. Riva and J. E. Riva are all listed on the Roll of Honour for Second World War men enlisted from Canmore.
