Markerville is a small town that used to be called Tindastoll. In 1899 a man from Denmark (a European country) named Dan Morkeberg moved to Markerville to help set up a creamery (a place where they make cream). In 1924, his work at Markerville was recognized by the King of Denmark when he was given the title of “Ridder of Danebrog, Knight of the Danish Flag”. You can still visit this creamery in Markerville.
