Tipman-Klaus families

These families emigrated to Tver and Simbirsk areas of Russia between 1885 and 1910. Conscription into the Russian army and threats of loss of religious freedom provided the motivation for the Tipman and Klaus to emigrate to the Canadian prairies where homestead land was available.
