  • BISHOP'S COURT
    This residence was built in 1914 for Alexander M. Martin, the owner of A.M. Martin sporting Goods Company Limited.
  • FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH
    The original First Baptist Church was built in 1888, but was subsequently destroyed by fire. It was rebuilt in 1900, but a growing congregation and the crowding of business blocks around the original site led the congregation to decide on relocation and construction of yet another new church.
  • GRACE PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH
    The Grace Presbyterian Church was built between 1911 and 1913 at 15th Avenue and 9th Street SW.
  • GUNN HOME
    This residence was built for Malcolm D. Geddes who was born in Wick, Scotland in 1867.
  • HAULTAIN SCHOOL
    The “Haultain School” actually refers to two buildings. The first, a two-room sandstone structure was constructed in 1892 or 1894 and the second, a larger 10 room, 3 storey school was built in 1906 on the same site.
  • LOUGHEED HOUSE
    The Lougheed Mansion, or “Beaulieu,” was built in 1891.
  • MCCUTCHEON HOUSE
    This brick and sandstone house was erected in 1911 by builder T.E.A. Stanley (subsequently the first principal of Western Canada High School).
  • NELLIE MCCLUNG HOUSE
    Nellie McClung (1873-1951) was a leader of the Canadian Women’s Movement in the early 20th century.
  • NIMMONS HOUSE
    Nimmons built this house in 1898 on a high hill having a fine view of the surrounding prairies.
  • NORTH SIDE 99 AVENUE HOMES
    Although the five residences on the north side of 99 Avenue between 112 and 113 Streets have been altered over the years, they retain much of their original similarity.
