Kane Glacier

Both the glacier and the mountain were named around 1920 by Arthur O. Wheeler of the ABCBS. Paul Kane (1810–1871) was famous for his paintings depicting Aboriginal groups in British North America as well as life and landscapes of the time. He recorded the impressions of his journey with George Simpson in Wanderings of an Artist Among the Indians of North America (1859).
