Bellevue

This village was named in 1905 by Mr. J.J. Fleutôt, who was the originator and Managing Director of West Canadian Collieries Ltd. His daughter, Elsie, was an early visitor to the Crowsnest Pass. In English, this became Bellevue, which became the official name for this village, incorporated 1 January 1957. (see Municipality of Crowsnest Pass)
