Blefgen Lake

The name for this lake was officially approved in 1953 and commemorates T.F. Blefgen, Director of Forestry in Alberta from 1931 through 1948. Mr. Blefgen was employed by the Dominion Government in 1911 in the then newly-created Rocky Mountain Forest Reserve. He served with the Royal Flying Corps and the Royal Air Force during World War I. He was supervisor of the Lesser Slave Forest Reserve until 1927.

Approximately 42 km west north-west of Athabasca.
