Jaydot

Category : Railway Station

The station received its name from the adjacent Jaydot Ranch. The ranch was owned by J.L. Peacock, who was a livestock dealer, and Bill Babb, a horse rancher. They trailed in hundreds of horses from Babb's Cold Spring Ranch near Cypress Hills, to be broken for the purpose of trade and the brand they used on the trail was a "j." The ranch still carries this brand.

Approximately 92 km south-east of Medicine Hat.
