Bailey Lake

The name was submitted in 1958 by the Research Council of Alberta, and is one of a series of features in the area named after prominent geologists. This lake was named in honour of Edward Battersby Bailey, known as Sir Edward Bailey (1881-1968), renowned Scottish geologist, who was Director of the Geological Survey of Great Britain from 1937 to 1945.

Approximately 355 km north of Fort McMurray.
