Bear Lake

It shows by this name as early as 1916 on federal government maps, and some sources referred to the lake by that name into the 1950s. It was likely descriptive of the prevalence of the animal in the area. However the name that was finally applied to the feature was Raspberry Lake. (see Raspberry Lake)

Approximately 155 km south-east of Grande Prairie.
