Beavertail Creek

Officially named in 1947 at the suggestion of a survey party, for the beaver found on this creek. In 1909, when the Dominion Lands Survey came through the area, the surveyor listed no name for the creek. When the federal government map of 1917 was published, the creek was called Alex Creek.

Flows north-east into Beaverlodge River approximately 50 km north-west of Grande Prairie.
