Besant Points

Besant points found in excavations at Head-Smashed-In Buffalo Jump. The makers of Besant points also introduced pottery into Alberta. These examples are made from flint mined at ancient quarries on the Knife River in North Dakota. These points have been found at sites that date from about 2000 years ago.
