Claire, Lake

Clear Water Lake is referred to in Sir Alexander Mackenzie's journal, October 10, 1792. The Hudson's Bay Company Fort Chipewyan post journal of 1822 refers to it as Clear Lake. Claire is the French word for "clear."

Approximately 196 km north of Fort McMurray.
