Clairmont Lake

Named by the Dominion Land Surveyor Walter McFarlane who surveyed the area first in 1909. It was a variant spelling of his birthplace in Ontario, Claremont. He liked the area so much that he applied for a homestead. (see also Clairmont)

Approximately 6 km north of Grande Prairie.
