Zama River

The Zama River is named for a Slavey chief and was recorded in 1921 during a survey as Zamah River. The local name for the river is K'olaa Zahéh which is Slavey for Old Man River which may refer to the Slavey chief whose name now appears on the river.

Flows south into Hay Lake approximately 51 km north north-east of Rainbow Lake.
