Claim.—1. A seed planter consisting of the main frame 1, having a rearwardly extending curved arm 2, arm 3, and front transverse part 4, axle 8 secured to the front part 4, of said frame, and mounted on wheels 5 and 6, supporting frame 28, secured to said arms 2 and 3 of said frame 1, and arranged diagonally therewith, pivot 30, secured to the rear end of said frame 28, rod 32, pivoted to said pivot at its front end, and bent at right angles about midway of its length, providing an axle 33, chain 34, connecting said axle to said frame 1, wheel 7, journalled on said axle, landslide 34, secured on said axle, hopper 12, having perforated bottom 13, and perforated sliding board 15, adapted to be operated by a lever 17, wheels 19 and 20, journalled in said hopper, and carrying an endless chain 21, cog wheel 9, secured on said axle 8, near one end, stub axle 25, journalled in bearing 26, secured to one of the end walls of said hopper 12, and provided with a cog wheel 27 and bevelled gear 24, bevelled gear 23, secured on the rear end of shaft 22, journalled in said hopper, said bevelled gear 23 meshing with bevelled gear 24, at right angles, shaft 43, provided with discs 44 and spools 45, hoisting frame 35, consisting of hollow uprights 36 and 37 and hollow cross bear 371, windlass 48, journalled to aid beam 37 and provided with a lever 49, ratchet 51 and pawl 52, and a chain 47, adapted to pass over said windlass, substantially as shown and described and for the purposes set forth.

2. In a seed planter the combination of a main frame 1, axle 8, mounted on wheels 5 and 6, and secured to the front part of said frame, supporting frame 28, secured near the rear part of said frame 1, rod 32, pivoted at its front tend near the rear end of said frame 28, bent at right angles near its center, providing an axle 33, wheel 7, journalled on said axle, landslide 34, rigidly secured on said axle, chain 34, connecting said axle to said main frame 1, hopper 12, having perforated bottom 13, and perforated sliding board 15, adapted to be operated by a lever 17, wheels 19 and 20, journalled in said hopper 12, and carrying an endless chain 21, means (or rotating said wheels 19 and 20, shaft 43, discs 44, removably secured on said shaft 43, spools 45, removably secured on said shaft between said discs. 44, said spools holding said discs a pro-determined distance apart, members 43 removably secured near the ends of said shaft, hoisting frame consisting of hollow uprights 36 and 37, and hollow said beam 37, secured to said frame 28, bearings 38, having transverse perforations, working in said uprights 36 and r necks 43'=, of said members 431, flitting in the perforations of said bearings 38, with means to raise and lower said 43 and discs 44 at will, substantially as shown and described and for the purposes set forth.

3. In a seed planter, substantially as shown and described a hoisting frame 35, consisting of hollow uprights 36 and 37, connected together at their upper ends by a hollow beam 37, shaft 43, cylindrical discs 44, having concave convex sides, and provided each with a central transverse perforation, removably secured on shaft 43, spools 45 having longitudinal perforations 46, equal in diameter to the diameter of said shaft 43, removably secured on said shaft 43, near the ends of said shaft, bearings 38, composed cylindrical parts 39 having vertical perforated necks 40 integeral circular flanges 41, and provided with transverse perforations corresponding with the size and shape of said necks 432, of said members 43' and provided each with a circle of ball bearings arranged to register with the ball bearings of said members 43', working in said uprights 36 and 37 of said hoisting frame 35, with no means to raise lower said shaft 43 and discs 44 at will, substantially shown and described and for the purposes set forth.
