Description:
WHAT I CLAIM IS -

1. The combination with a platform with means for tilting the said platform, of a section of the platform hinged upon the said platform, which said hinged portion is raised and lowered by cams, the said cams being operated by the raising and lowering mechanism operating the main platform, all substantially as described.
2. The combination with a hinged platform with means for tilting same, of a portion hinged upon the said platform which said portion is raised and lowered in relation to the main platform by a series of cams, the said cams being connected to operating links which said links are pivoted in brackets and are operated by a rod which is mounted in the cylinder head, the links being so arranged that after the rod in the cylinder head has raised the section they will maintain the hinged section in the raised position, all substantially as described.
3. The combination with a platform and means for raising the said platform, of a section hinged to the said platform and adapted to be raised and lowered in relation to the said platform and independently of the said platform, by the action of a power shaft mounted in the head of the platform raising mechanism the said rod sliding in bearing blocks mounted upon the underside of the platform timbers the said shaft operating links hinged upon the bearing blocks and connected to cams which raise the said hinged section in relation to the platform and secure the said section in the raised position, all substantially as described.
