Description: WHAT I CLAIM AS NEW IS.

1. A hoe, comprising a blade; a handle and a connecting shank member, the said blade being triangular in cross section with its forward side sharpened to a cutting edge and its rear side of sufficient depth to provide a noticeable drop of the material rearwardly of said blade as said blade is being drawn through the same, without depending on the angle at which the hoe is held to provide such drop.
