Claim.—1. A process for the separation of cracked gases or vapours by the formation of condensation products from the heavier unsaturated hydrocarbons present which consists of heating the said gas or vapour in the presence of a catalyst composed of concentrated phosphoric acid, hydrated magnesium and aluminum silicates and granulated zinc, at a temperature of from five hundred (500) to eight hundred (800) degree Fahrenheit under a pressure of from one hundred (100) to five hundred (500) pounds per square inch and at a space velocity of from two-tenths (.2) to eight (8) cubic feet per hour per pound of catalyst withdrawing the condensation products formed, continuously, thereby separating the lighter gaseous fraction.
