Description:
-AMENDED CLAIMS-

What we do claim as our invention, and what we desire to secure by letters patent, is -

1. In a heater of the type described, the combination of en open top rectangular casing, a heating element and combustion chamber within the said casing, a heat deflecting plate within the said chamber, a series of up and down draft heat transmition chambers leading from the said combustion chamber and disposed within the said casing with an air space partially surrounding the said chambers, a spent gas outlet pipe, and an exterior downdraft control on said outlet pipe.

2. In a heater of the type described, the combination of an open top rectangular casing, a heating element and combustion chamber within said casing, a heat deflecting plate within the said combustion chamber, a series of adjacent up and down draft heat transmission chambers leading from the said combustion chamber, and within the said casing, to a spent gas outlet pipe with a down draft control, a plurality of baffle plates within the said casing to check the upward flow of warmed air, a series of open ended columnar pipes passing through the said heat transmission chambers to conduct the heated air in an upward flow to the casing for discharge, and a heat deflecting hood mounted on the top of the said casing.

3. A registerless gas heater of the type described comprising an open top casing, and enclosed combustion chamber and heating element, a spent gas exhaust pipe, air heating chambers between the heating element and the said exhaust pipe, open ended columnar pipes within the said air heating chambers for passage of outside air to be heated and upwardly discharged, an air space between said heating chambers and said casing, baffle plates within said air space, and an adjustable heat deflecting hood to direct the warm air flow away from the said casing.
