Description:
Having regard to the foregoing disclosure, the patent of which this specification forms part confers, subject to the conditions prescribed in The Patent Act, 1935, the exclusive right, privilege and liberty of making, constructing, using and vending to others to be used, the invention as defined in claims submitted by the patentee as follows:-

1. Window construction, comprising a frame, sliding carriers mounted in said frame, a sash swingably mounted on said carriers, means for locking said sash on said carriers against swinging movement, said carriers being provided with integral ribs projecting on each side thereof throughout their length, said sash being recesses throughout its length and said frame being channelled, to receive respectively one rib of the carriers to form a mating weatherproof structure.

2. The device as claimed in claim 1, in which a weather strip is positioned between the frame and the carrier rearwardly of one of the projecting ribs.

3. The device as claimed in claim 1, in which means for swingably mounting said sash on the carriers comprises a pin projecting from each side of the sash, said carriers being provided with sockets to receive said pins, the latter being formed with a bevelled edge whereby said sash may be removed from said carriers when swung to a substantially horizontal plane and tilted.

4. Window construction, comprising a frame, sliding carriers mounted in said frame, a sash, means for swing ably mounting said sash on said carriers including pins mounted upon and projecting from the sides of the sash, said carriers being provided with sockets for receiving said pins, the latter being provided with a corresponding bevelled edge whereby said sash may be disengaged from the carriers when swung to a substantially horizontal position and tilted, and releasable means for locking said sash on said carriers against swinging movement.
