Description:
WHAT I CLAIM IS:-

1. In a downdraft deflector am ventilator, an upper pipe fitting and a lower pipe fitting, a hood having inwardly tapering walls and secured to said upper pipe fitting, and a deflector situated within said hood and having upper and lower apexes formed by upwardly am downwardly converging walls respectively and secured to said hood and said lower pipe fitting.

2. In a downdraft deflector and ventilator, an upper pipe fitting and a lower pipe fitting, a hood having inwardly tapering walls and secured to said upper pipe fitting, and a deflector situated within said hood and formed of upper and lower cones of different dimensions and having the apex ends of the cones pointing to directions opposite to one another, said cones being supported from said hood and connected to the lower pipe fitting,

3. In a downdraft deflector and ventilator, an upper pipe fitting and a lower pipe fitting, a covering hood secured to one of the pipe fittings, an upper cone and a lower cone secured together', and forming a deflector, the upper cone being of a greater diameter than the lower cane, said cones being supported from said hood and connected to the other of said pipe fittings.

4. Ina downdraft deflector and ventilator, an upper pipe fitting and a lower pipe fitting, a covering hood secured to one of said pipe fittings, a deflector secured within said hood and formed of an upper cone and a lower cone secured together, and a plurality of flat metal strips secured to said deflector and to the other of said pipe fittings.
