Description:
The embodiments of the invention in which an exclusive property or privilege is claimed are defined as follows:

(1) A hoist for tipping trucks adapted to be used in connection with overhead supporting means, comprising in combination a pair of transversely situated spaced and parallel truck wheel engaging platforms, one for the front wheels of the associated truck and one for the rear wheels of the associated truck, an overhead transverse supporting component situated above each of said platforms, cable means extending between each end of each of said platforms and each end of the corresponding supporting component and means on each of said supporting components adapted to lift the associated platforms through the agency of said cables whereby one end of said truck may be raised with relation to the other end of said truck, said means including a sheave at one end of said supporting componel,1t over which one of said cables extends, a sheave at the other end of said supporting component over which said one of said cables extends, a further sheave at said other end of said supporting component, situated below said last mel,1tioned sheave, over which the other of said cables extends, and an hydraulic piston and cylinder assembly secured parallel, said supporting component and adjacent said other end thereof, a pair of sheaved pullies secured for rotation on the free end of said piston rod, said cables each passing over one of said sheaves on said piston rod and being anchored to said cylinder whereby the extension of said piston within said cylinder is adapted to move said cables thereby lifting said platform.
