Game Piece (Patent No: 692995)

Inventor: Bard, George

Location: Edmonton

Comments: N/A

Description:

The embodiments of the invention in which an exclusive property or privilege is claimed are defined as follows:

1. A playing piece for sliding movement across a playing surface comprising a casing, a straight sided longitudinal bore through the casing, a ball freely rotatable in the bore and adapted to roll on the playing surface when either end of the casing is in sliding movement across the playing surface and means to retain the ball in the bore.

2. The playing piece as claimed in Claim 1 wherein the ends of the casing are parallel and are bevelled to reduce the area of the casing end in contact with the playing surface as the casing is slid there over.

3. The device as claimed in Claims 1 and 2 wherein the means to retain the ball in the casing includes grooves formed in the periphery of the bore adjacent the ends of the casing and rings fitted in the grooves to project into the bore and prevent the ball from coming out of the bore at either end of the casing.

4. A playing piece for sliding movement across a playing surface comprising a casing, a straight sided longitudinal bore through the casing, a ball freely rotatable in the bore and adapted to roll on the playing surface when either end of the casing is in sliding movement across the playing surface and means to retain the ball in the bore, such means positioned in the bore to allow the ball to drop sufficiently through the bore to allow more than half of the wall area of the bore to be cleaned.
