Inventor: Beingessner, Albert John

Location: Calgary

Comments: N/A

Description: What I claim is:

1. An article of the class described comprising a wheeled frame open at the front, a rake member pivoted upon the back frame member inclined downwardly and extending towards the front of the frame, the front of the said rake being supported adjacent the ground by suitable hangers demountable of the frame, a cylindrical elevator rotatably mounted upon the frame adjacent the rear end of the frame carried by a central shaft journalled within the frame members and driven in a direction contrary to that of the traveling wheels by suitable means, forked prongs mounted at intervals across the periphery of the said cylinder in suitable bearings and adapted to have motion limited by a suitable fixed guide rail adjacent the ends of the cylinder, and a conveyor in relation to the elevator to receive and transmit the elevated matter from the elevator to a suitable receptacle.
2. An article of the class described comprising a wheeled frame open at the front, a rake member pivoted upon the back frame member inclined downwardly and extending across the the framing towards the front of the said frame the front of the said rake being supported adjacent the ground by suitable demountable hangers, a cylindrical elevator rotatably mounted upon a central shaft which shaft is journalled in the frame members, fork members journalled across the cylinder in suitable brackets secured upon the periphery of the said cylinder, means adjacent the ends of the said cylinder for limiting and directing the motion of the said fork members, an automatic clutch mounted upon the central shaft of the said cylinder and a conveyor mounted in relation to the elevator, and means for imparting motion to the elevator and the conveyor from the traveling wheel.
3. An article of the class described comprising a wheeled frame open at one end, a cylindrical elevator rotatably mounted upon a central shaft which shaft is journalled in the frame members, forked members journalled upon and across the periphery of the said cylinder means adjacent the ends of the said cylinder to limit the motion of the said fork members, a clutch mounted upon the central shaft to impart semi-rotary motion to the said elevator in a direction opposite to that of the traveling wheels, and a suitable conveyor mounted in relation to the elevator and driven from the same source as the elevator, substantially as illustrated in the accompanying drawings.
