1. In a carrier for bread and the like a rectangular base framework having diagonal bracing members, a bottom fitted removably in the base framework, posts fixed at their lower ends to the comers of the framework and upstanding therefrom, an endless rail fixed to the upper ends of the posts, a pair of sleeves, one mounted rotatably on each rail between the corner posts on opposite sides of the carrier and arms attached to the sleeves and rotatable from a carrier nesting position outside the carrier to a carrier stacking position within the carrier and means for locking the carriers together in the stacked position.

2. In a carrier for bread and the like, a rectangular base, posts fixed at their lower ends to the comers of the base, upstanding therefrom and inclined outwardly with respect to the base, an endless rail fixed to the upper ends of the posts, a pair of sleeves, one mounted rotatably on each rail between corner posts on opposite sides of the carrier and arms attached to the sleeves and rotatable from a carrier nesting position outside the carrier to a carrier stacking position within the carrier and means for locking the carriers together in the stacked position.

4. The carrier as claimed in Claims 1 and 2 and stops fixed externally on the posts and adapted to limit insertion of one carrier in another in the nesting position.

6. The carrier as claimed in Claims 1 and 2 wherein the means for locking the carriers together in the stacked position comprises staples fixed to the base framework and latches mounted rotatably on the rail arranged to coact with the staples on the carrier stacked immediately thereon.
