Description: THE EMBODIMENTS OF THE INVENTION IN WHICH AN EXCLUSIVE PROPERTY OR PRIVILEGE IS CLAIMED ARE DEFINED AS FOLLOWS:

1. A fluid power drive comprising a housing adapted to be filled with fluid, a drive shaft mounted for rotation in the said housing, an impeller rigidly secured to the said shaft within the housing, said impeller having a hub, arms extending outwardly from the hub of the impeller, and a cylindrical member rotatably mounted within said housing and concentrically disposed about said impeller, said cylinder having a series of blades extending inwardly towards the anus of the impeller and a second series of blades extending outwardly from the periphery of the cylinder toward the interior walls of the said housing.

2. A fluid power drive as defined in claim 1, in which said housing is in closed fluid circuit with an additional housing and in which a bladed member is rotatably mounted within said additional housing and rigidly secured to a driven shaft rotatably mounted within and extending from said additional housing.

3. A fluid power drive as defined in claim 1, in which said housing is in closed fluid circuit with a plurality of additional housings, and in which a bladed member is rotatably mounted within each of said additional housings and rigidly secured to a driven shaft rotatably mounted within and extending from each of said additional housings.
