Stove Pipe (Patent No: 394011)

Description: WHAT I CLAIM AS NEW IS:-

1. A stove pipe, formed from a sheet of metal to provide a normally open cylindrical body portion, one longitudinal edge of said body portion being reversibly bent back upon itself and the end of the upper lap of such bent back edge being cut away; the end of the opposite longitudinal edge having an underlapped portion to provide a sliding engagement means over the end of the primary bent back lap of the first mentioned longitudinal edge and locking means carried by one of said edges, adjacent its opposite end, and engage able interiorly of said pipe with the opposite end of the other longitudinal edge of said pipe.

2. A stove pipe, as claimed in claim 1, characterized in that said locking means is longitudinally movable in an opening formed in an angularly bent back portion of one of said first mentioned longitudinal edges and engageable in an opening formed in an angularly bent back portion of the other of said longitudinal edges, so that upon movement of said locking means in one direction said locking means will draw said edges to complete interlocked position and retain them in such position.

3. A stove pipe, as claimed in claim 1, characterized in that said pipe is provided with annular corrugations adjacent each end, the corrugations in last mentioned end so formed as to engage over the corrugations in the first mentioned end and be interlocked therewith upon said locking means being moved to locked position.
