12 Claims.

1. A method of cleaning and sterilizing liquid dispensing equipment comprising a tapping rod for depending into a container holding the liquid, an airline for connection with the inside of said container, and a delivery line connecting tapping rod to a pulley head characterized by directing a cleansing liquid in a continuous flow through said airline, along the exterior surface of said tapping rod, through the interior of said tapping rod and through said delivery line and said delivery head.

2. A method as claimed in claim 1 in which said cleansing liquid is pumped into said airline from a liquid-retaining receptacle.

3. A method as claimed in claim 1 or 2 in which said cleansing liquid is drained away after passing through said delivery head.

4. A method as claimed in claim 1 or 2 in which said cleansing liquid is returned to said liquid-retaining receptacle after passing through said delivery head to form a closed cleansing circuit.
