Claim.—1. A combined seeding and cultivating attachment for a plough comprising a main frame, seed dropping mechanism, a harrow and a roller suspended from said main frame, and a main lever for controlling the parts suspended from said frame.

2. A combined seeding and cultivating attachment for a plough comprising a main frame adapted to be connected with a plough, a hopper mounted upon said main frame, tubes depending from said hopper, shoes mounted upon said tubes, means for adjusting said tubes and shoes, a harrow suspended from said frame, means for adjusting said harrow, a roller beneath said frame, means for adjusting said roller with respect to said frame, and a single lever for controlling the different adjusting means.

3. A combined seeding and cultivating attachment for a plough comprising a main frame adapted to be connected with a plough, a harrow suspended beneath said main frame, a hopper mounted upon said main frame, planting tubes depending from said hopper, planting shoes and sleeves adjustably mounted upon said tubes, a roller beneath said main frame, adjusting means for said roller, guide means for said adjusting means, and a main lever for controlling the roller adjusting means, the adjusting means for the shoes and sleeves and the harrow.

4. A combined seeding and cultivating attachment for a plough comprising a main frame adapted to be connected thereto, a seed hopper mounted upon said main frame, tubes depending from said hopper, sleeves slidably mounted upon said tubes and having discharge ends, shoes connected with said sleeves and suspended from said main frame, a main adjusting lever, resilient connections between said lever and the suspending means for said shoes, a harrow suspended from said main frame forwardly of said tubes, means for adjusting said harrow, connections between said harrow and said main lever, a roller suspended from said frame rearwardly of said tubes, means for adjusting said roller and connections between said adjusting means and said main lever.
5. A combined seeding and cultivating attachment for a plough comprising a main frame, a seed hopper mounted upon said main frame, tubes depending from said hopper, sleeves adjustable upon said tubes and having reduced opened lower ends, planting shoes connected with said sleeves, means for suspending said shoes from said main frame, a main adjusting lever, connections between said main lever and said suspending means, forward standards depending from said frame, a harrow mounted upon said standards, adjusting means for said harrow, connections between said adjusting means and said main lever, an independent lever connected with said adjusting means, a roller, rear standards depending from said frame to support said roller, means for adjusting said roller upon said rear standards, connecting between the last-mentioned adjusting means and said main lever, and means for locking said main lever in adjusted position.

6. A combined seeding and cultivating attachment for a plough comprising a main frame, a hopper mounted on said main frame, seed dropping means within said hopper, seed planting tubes leading from said hopper, furrow forming members connected with said tubes, a harrow mechanism carried by said main frame, a roller carried by said main frame, and means for simultaneously adjusting the furrow forming members, the harrow mechanism and said roller.

7. A combined seeder and cultivating attachment for a plough comprising a supporting frame, a harrow resiliently mounted beneath the forward portion thereof, furrow forming members pivoted beneath said frame, seed dropping members connected with said furrow forming members, a roller resiliently supported beneath the rear portion of said frame, an adjusting lever pivoted to said frame and connected with said furrow forming members, and connecting members leading from said lever to the harrow mechanism and the roller supporting means.

8. A combined seeding and cultivating attachment for a, plough comprising a main frame, cultivating mechanism suspended from said frame, a seed hopper counted upon said main frame, furrow forming members connected with said frame, seed dropping members connected with said furrow forming member, a roller resiliently supported beneath said frame, said cultivating mechanism being adapted to be adjusted with respect to the frame, said roller being adapted to be adjusted vertically beneath said frame, and a single adjusting lever for said parts.

9. A combined seeding and cultivating attachment for a plough comprising a frame adapted to be connected thereto, a seed hopper mounted upon said frame, seed dropping tubes extended from said hopper, sleeves mounted upon said tubes, means for controlling the entrance of seeds to said tubes, furrow forming shoes connected with said sleeves, pivot means for said shoes, a main adjusting lever pivoted to said frame, a swinging member mounted in said frame, said lever being connected with said swinging member to actuate the latter, an angle iron member carried by said swinging member, resilient connections between said angle iron member and the pivot means for said shoes, cultivating mechanism extended from said frame, a roller mounted beneath said frame, means for resiliently retaining said roller in adjusted position, means for resiliently retaining said cultivating mechanism in adjusted position, and connection between said swinging member and the cultivating mechanism and the roller.

10. A combined seeding and cultivating attachment for a plough comprising a main frame, a hopper mounted upon said main frame, seed dropping tubes projecting from said hopper, means for controlling the entrance of seeds into said tubes, furrow forming members connected with the lower ends of said tubes and extended forwardly of the same, said shoes having inclined portions pivoted to said frame, a cultivating mechanism resiliently supported beneath said frame, means for retaining said cultivating mechanism in adjusted position, an adjusting lever for said cultivating mechanism, a roller resiliently supported beneath said frame, an adjusting lever for said shoes, connections between said adjusting lever and said cultivating mechanism, connections between said adjusting lever and said roller, and means for locking said main lever in adjusted position.

11. A combined seeding and cultivating attachment for a plough comprising a supporting frame, a hopper mounted upon said frame, a roller mounted in the bottom of said hopper and provided with seed receiving pockets, a plate adjustable over said roller, means for rotating said roller, tubes to receive seeds from said pockets, a cultivating mechanism carried by said frame forwardly of said tubes, and furrow forming members carried by said frame forwardly of said tubes.

12. A combined seeding and cultivating attachment for a plough comprising a main frame, a hopper mounted transversely of said frame, seed dropping tubes extended from said hopper, a rotary shaft mounted In said hopper, a roller mounted on said shaft and provided with seed pockets, means for movement over said seed pockets, means to rotate said abaft, agitating means within said hopper and adapted to be operated upon rotation of said shaft, furrow forming members at the ends of said tubes, and cultivating mechanism carried by said frame.

13. A combined seeding and cultivating attachment for a plough comprising a main frame, a hopper positioned transversely of said frame, seed dropping tubes depending from laid hopper, a rotary member positioned in the bottom of said hopper and provided with seed pockets arranged in pairs, a curved protecting member positioned over said rotary member and provided with transverse slots over said pockets, a valve plate movable over the protecting member to open and close said slots and limit the capacity of said pockets, a cam carried by said rotary member, an agitator within said hopper and opened by said cam, means for controlling said valve plate, furrow forming members at the lower ends of said tubes, and cultivating members carried by said frame.

14. A combined seeding and cultivating attachment for a plough comprising a frame, a hopper mounted upon said flame, a shaft mounted in the bottom of said hopper, a sleeve positioned upon said shaft, said sleeve being provided with curved seed pockets arranged in pairs and extended diagonally across said sleeve, the pockets of each pair being curved away from one another, a cam disc mounted upon said shaft, a valve plate movable longitudinally in said hopper over said pockets, a covering plate extended over said sleeve and provided with openings to expose said pockets, said valve plate frying provided with openings adapted to register with the openings of said covering plate, means for controlling said covering plate, an agitator adapted to be operated by said cam disc, seed dropping tubes depending from said hopper, said tubes being provided with seed receiving fingers and baffle walls at their upper portions, furrow forming members at the lower ends of said tubes, and a cultivator mechanism and roller carried by said frame.

15. A combined seeding and cultivating attachment for a plough comprising a frame, a hopper mounted transversely of laid frame, a shaft rotably mounted in said hopper, a sleeve carried by said shaft and provided with series of seed receiving pockets, a covering plate engaged over said sleeve and provided with openings exposing said pockets, a transversely curved plate extended longitudinally in said hopper and resting upon said sleeve, said curved plate having transverse openings adapted, to cover the openings of the first-mentioned plate, a lever pivoted to said hopper and connected with said curved plate to move the same longitudinally of said hopper, a disc mounted upon the said shaft and provided with a cam flange, a longitudinally movable agitator within said hopper and having fingers extended toward said curved plate, means carried by said agitator for engagement with the flange of said disc to cause operation of said agitator upon rotation of the shaft, means for operating said lever, and cultivating mechanism by said frame.

16. A combined seeding and cultivating attachment for a plough comprising a frame adapted to be connected thereto, a hopper mounted upon said frame, a shaft mounted in the lower discharged portion of said hopper, supporting wheels for said frame, one of said supporting wheels being mounted upon said shaft, a transversely slotted protecting member over said shaft, a sleeve carried by said shaft and provided with seed receiving pockets opposite the slots of said protecting member, a valve plate movable over the slots of said protecting member, means for controlling said valve plate, an agitator within said hopper and adapted to be operated by said shaft, and cultivating mechanism carried by said frame.

17. A combined seeding and cultivating attachment for a plough comprising a supporting frame, a seed copper mounted upon said supporting frame, depending seed dropping tubes connected with said hopper, sleeves adjustable upon the lower ends of said tubes, furrow forming members connected with said sleeves and pivoted to said frame, means for resiliently retaining said shoes in normal position, means for controlling the entrance of seeds to said tubes, and a cultivating mechanism carried by said frame.

18. A combined seeding cultivating- attachment for a plough comprising a frame, a hopper mounted upon said frame, flexible seed dropping tubes depending from said hopper, means for controlling the entrance of seeds to said tubes, sleeves loosely mounted upon the lower ends of said tubes, furrow forming shoes connected with said sleeves and pivoted to said frame, an adjusting lever mounted on said frame, resilient connections between said adjusting lever and said shoes, a cultivating mechanism carried by said frame forwardly of said shoes, and a roller carried by said frame rearwardly of said shoes and sleeves.

19. A combined seeding and cultivating attachment for a plough comprising a frame adapted to be connected thereto, a hopper mounted upon said frame, flexible tubes carried by said hopper, sleeves mounted upon the free ends of said tubes and provided with open discharge ends, said sleeves having dovetailed extensions, furrow forming shoes connected with said extensions, said shoes being formed upon inclined rods having their upper ends pivoted to said frame, bracing connections between said shoes and said sleeves, an adjusting lever mounted on said frame, resilient connections between said lever and the inclined portions of said shoes to resiliently retain the latter in adjusted position, a cultivating mechanism carried by said frame and connected with said adjusting lever, and a roller carried by said frame and connected with said adjustable lever.

20. A combined seeding and cultivating attachment for a plough comprising a frame, a hopper positioned upon said frame, planting tubes depending from said hopper, means for controlling the admission of seeds to said tubes, rods pivoted to said frame and having furrow producing members formed on their lower ends, sleeves connected with said members and slidably mounted upon said tubes, connections between said sleeves and said member, an adjusting lever pivoted to said frame, a swinging member mounted in said frame and connected with said lever, a plate carried by said swinging member, resilient connections between said plate and each of said rods, means for locking said lever in adjusted position, a cultivating mechanism mounted beneath said frame, connections between said cultivating mechanism and said lever adapted to adjust said mechanism, a roller mounted beneath said frame, and connections between said lever and said roller to regulate the position of the latter.

21. A combined seeding and cultivating attachment for a plough comprising a frame adapted to be connected there to, corner standards depending from said frame, collars slidable upon the forward corner standards, frames suspended from said collars, a harrow plate carried by said frames, harrow teeth depending from said plate, means for resiliently retaining said collars in their lowermost positions, means for adjusting said collars upon said forward corner standards, a main adjusting lever connected with the last-mentioned means, a seed hopper mounted upon said frame, seed dropping members mounted in said hopper, means for forming furrows to receive the seeds, the last-mentioned means being mounted upon said frame rearwardly of said harrow plate, means to receive said seeds and direct the same into the furrows, connections between the last-mentioned means and the furrow forming means, a seed covering and packing roller mounted upon the rear corner standards of said frame, and connections between said roller and said main adjusting lever.

22. A combined seeding and cultivating attachment for a plough comprising a frame adapted to be connected thereto, forward standards depending from said frame, collars slidable upon said standards, springs for forcing said collars downwardly, frames pivoted to said collars, a harrow plate secured to the forward portion of said frame, harrow teeth depending from said harrow plate and having portions extended through the latter and through said frame, means for regulating the tension of said springs, a lever for raising said collars, pivotal connections between said lever and said collars, furrow forming means carried by said frame rearwardly of said harrow plate, a seed hopper mounted on said frame, a seed dropping mechanism for said hopper, seed planting tubes connected with said hopper and with said furrow forming means, and a corrugated roller mounted beneath the rear portion of said frame to cover over the planted seeds and pack the earth upon the same.

23. A combined seeding and cultivating attachment for a plough comprising a frame adapted to be connected thereto, wheels upon the opposite sides of said frame to support the same, one of said wheels being adjustable vertically with respect to the frame, harrow forming means carried by said frame, a seed hopper mounted on said same, a seed dropping means within said hopper, seed directing tubes depending from said hopper, rear standards depending from said frame, a pair of roller supporting members adjustable upon said standards, a roller supported in said last-mentioned members, means for resiliently supporting said last-mentioned members in normal position, an adjusting lever, and connections between the last-mentioned means and said lever.

24. A combined seeding and cultivating attachment for a plough comprising a frame adapted to be connected thereto, a comparatively large wheel upon one side of said frame, a comparatively small wheel upon the opposite aide of said frame and offset from the first-mentioned wheel, a shaft mounted transversely beneath said frame, said large wheel being mounted upon said shaft, a supporting member secured beneath the rear portion of said frame and having a depending end, a sleeve adjustably mounted upon said depending end, an axle projecting from said sleeve to support said small wheel, a hopper positioned upon said frame, seed dropping means for said hopper mounted upon said shaft, seed directing tubes depending upon said hopper, furrow forming members connected with said tubes, a ground cultivating mechanism suspended from the forward end of said frame, a roller extended from the rear portion of said frame and provided with annular corrugations, said roller being adapted to be adjusted vertically, a main adjusting lever, connections between said lever and the suspending means for said roller, connections between said main lever and the furrow forming members, and connections between said main lever and the ground cultivating mechanism to permit simultaneous adjustment of the ground cultivating and ground entering members.
