Stop and Waste Valve (Patent No: 308785)

Description:
What I claim is:-

1. In a stop and waste valve of the type described comprising a casing having oppositely disposed openings, a plurality of valve seat engaging shoulders, a cap threadably mounted on the upper end of said casing and a cylinder threadably mounted on the casing, said cylinder being provided with a threadably engaging cap at its upper end, a valve seat removably mounted in the casing a valve plug rotatably mounted in said valve seat, and means operating same, substantially as set forth.

2. In a stop and waste valve comprising a casing having oppositely disposed openings and a plurality of valve seat engaging shoulder, a removably mounted apertured valve seat having a plurality of shoulders, engaging the corresponding shoulders, of the casing, means preventing the valve seat from turning in the casing, said valve seat having a tapered recess on the inside thereof, a valve plug rotatably mounted in the valve seat and means operating same, substantially as set forth.

3. In a stop and waste valve comprising a casing having oppositely disposed opening a and a plurality of valve seat engaging shoulders, an apertured valve seat mounted in said casing, a tapered valve plug rotatably mounted in the valve seat, said valve plug having an obliquely disposed channel aligning with the oppositely disposed openings of the valve seat, means effecting drainage to the valve and means operating valve plug, substantially as set forth.
