2 Claims.

1. A cooker of the class described comprising in combination an elongated fat containing trough, a source of heat associated with said trough, an enclosure surmounting said trough, an endless conveyor mounted within said enclosure, a plurality of food carriers detachably securable to said conveyor and adapted to pivot freely thereon the lower run of said conveyor adapted to pass over said trough whereby said food carriers are immersed within said trough, and means to drive said conveyor, said conveyor including a pair of parallel chains, idler gears mounted for rotation upon a shaft situated substantially adjacent to the upper end and lower end of said enclosure, a plurality of rods spanning said chains at intervals therealong, said food carriers being engaged over said rod and suspended therefrom, means on said rods to limit endwise movement of said carriers along said rods, and further means extending longitudinally along the upper portion of said enclosure adapted to support the upper run of said conveyor, said means including a pair of spaced and parallel angle irons supported within said enclosure, said chains resting on the horizontal flanges of said angle irons.

The device according to claim 1 in which said means to limit endwise movement of said food carriers on said rods includes a pair of spacers secured substantially medially on said rods and spaced apart one from the other to define a hook engaging portion, and a hooked handle on said food carrier adapted to engage said portion and pivot freely thereon.
