4 Claims.

1. A light table comprising a transparent solid member having a substantially plane upper and lower surface, fluorescent light means adjacent said member and lying between the planes of the upper and lower surfaces, a plurality of grooves of triangular cross section formed in said lower surface, said plurality of grooves being adapted to deflect light from the fluorescent light means through the upper surface.

2. The combination of claim 1 in which said solid member is transparent methyl methacrylate.

3. The combination of claim 1, in which the grooves nearer said fluorescent light extend into said transparent member less than do grooves farther from said fluorescent light.

4. A light table comprising a transparent solid member having a substantially plane upper surface and side surfaces and a serrated lower surface, said lower surface being formed to lie on two substantially plane surfaces which meet at an angle near the center of said lower surface, means for projecting light in a direction substantially perpendicular to the line of intersection of said two substantially plane surfaces and on either side of said line said serrated lower surface being adapted to deflect light through said upper surface.
