Description: Guy H. Clover. Cadogon, Alberta, Canada, 7th May, 1918; 6 years. Filed 12th December, 1917. Receipt No. 288,612.

Claim.—1. A periscope consisting of a base having hingedly connected legs, a reflector member hingedly connected to said base, suitably arranged mirrors in said reflector member, a field glass mounted at the upper end of said reflector member.

2. A periscope consisting of a base suitably mounted on hingedly connected legs, a reflector member hingedly mounted and adapted to be tightly secured to said base mirror suitably mounted in said reflector members, a field glass and an observation hood suitably positioned on said reflector member, and said reflector member being telescopingly formed.

3. A periscope consisting of a base suitably mounted on hingedly connected legs, a reflector member hingedly mounted and adapted to be tightly secured to said base, a mirror suitably mounted in said reflector members, a field glass and an observation hood suitably positioned on said reflector member, said reflector member being telescopingly formed, and a means for raising and lowering the upper section of said reflector member.

4. A periscope consisting of a base suitably mounted on hingedly connected legs, a reflector member hingedly mounted and adapted to be tightly secured to said base, a mirror mounted in said reflector member, a field glass and an observation hood suitably positioned on said reflector member, said reflector member being telescopically formed, and suitable means for raising and lowering it, and suitable means for extending and shortening said field glass.
