Claim.—1. In an incubator, the combination of a casing containing an, egg chamber and a heating chamber, a ventilating tube extending through the top of the heating chamber, dampers exteriorly to the casing arranged to close the respective ends of the ventilating tube, a thermostatic plate arranged within the heating chamber, and operative connections between said thermostat and said damper.

2. In an incubator, the combination of a casing containing an egg chamber and a heating chamber, a heating element disposed within the heating chamber, a ventilating tube extending through the heating chamber above said heating element, means for closing the ends of the ventilating tube, a thermostat disposed within the heating chamber, and operative connections between said thermostat and the means for closing the ends of the ventilating tube.

3. In an incubator, the combination of a casing containing a heating chamber and an egg chamber, a ventilating tube extending through the top of the heating chamber and provided with a plurality of slots in its bottom and having its ends disposed exteriorly to the casing, closures for the ends of the ventilating tube, a thermostat within the heating chamber and operative connections between said thermostat and said closures.

4. In an incubator, the combination of a casing containing an egg chamber and a heating chamber, a ventilating tube extending through the top of the heating chamber and open thereto, dampers arranged to close the ends of the ventilating tube a supporting rod mounted upon the casing for rocking movement and carrying said dampers, a thermostat disposed within the heating chamber, and a connection between the thermostat and said supporting rod.

5. In an incubator, the combination of a casing containing a heating chamber and an egg chamber, a plurality of electric heating coils extending longitudinally of the heating chamber, a conductor mounted upon the casing and connected electrically with said coils, said conductor being disposed in a series of opposed bends, a stationary conductor for connecting one terminal of said first-mentioned conductor with a source of energy, a movable conductor connecting the opposed bend in the first-mentioned conductor with the same source of energy.

6. In an incubator, the combination of a casing containing a heating chamber and an egg chamber a plurality of electrical heating coils disposed longitudinally within the heating chamber, a metallic rod supported upon tile casing, a conductor comprising a plurality of parallel branches connected alternately at their opposite ends mounted upon the casing and connected with the several heating coils, one of the said branches being adapted to be connected to a source of energy, and a slide mounted upon the said rod and adapted to engage opposed branches of the first-mentioned conductor and having a flexible connection with a source of energy.
