Description: John Hiebert, Brownvale, Alberta, Canada, 19th November, 1946. Filed 23rd July, 1945. Serial No. 529,374.

Claim.—1. A garment hanger including a body over which the garment is to be placed, said body comprising a series of links each providing converging legs with connecting portion, the legs terminating in hooks and the links being interconnected by having the hooks of each link engage the connecting portion of the next but one link whereby the connected links are capable of forming an unyielding set against pressure on one side and of yielding to fold or roll when turned the opposite way, and a hook for suspension of the hanger.

2. A garment hanger as defined in claim 1 and formed of two sets of connected links, each set having the legs of the links inwardly directed and crossing at the centre to be interconnected.

3. A coat hanger comprising a body over which the garment is to be placed, said body consisting of two similar sets of connected links, each link providing converging legs with connecting portion, the legs terminating in hooks, and the links being interconnected by having the hooks of each link engage the connecting portion of the next but one link in the set and adapted to form an unyielding body against pressure in one direction and to fold in the oilier direction, the two sets of links being interconnected by having the legs of the end links on one set crossing and interconnected with links similarly disposed on the other set, a brace for the body comprising a set of connected links terminating in hooks at each end capable of engaging the body of the hanger, and a suspension hook for the hanger.

4. A device as denned in claim 3 in which the suspension hook comprises a triangle, a hook having a shank slidable in the triangle, spring means on the shank cushioning engagement thereof with the triangle, and means for attachment of the triangle to the body of the ranger.
