Claim.-1. The combination with a member of a spring having a plurality of superimposed leaves and means for connecting the spring with said member, comprising two sets of engaging parts on opposite sides of the leaves and spaced apart on opposite sides of the place where the leaves usually fracture during the use of the spring, so as to hold the fractured portions of the leaves from displacement or separation.
2. The combination with a member, of a spring having a plurality of superimposed leaves provided on opposite sides thereof with two sets of shoulders, and means for connecting the spring with said member having parts extending across said leaves at the sides thereof and engaging against said shoulders.
3. The combination with a member, of a spring having a plurality of superimposed leaves, said leaves being provided on opposite sides thereof with laterally projecting parts forming two sets of shoulders on opposite sides of the leaves, and means for connecting the spring with said member having parts extending across said leaves at the sides thereof and engaging against said shoulders.
