Inventor: Ingoldsby, Terence

Location: Lethbridge

Comments: Lethbridge Auto Wreckers, 1934, owned Terry's Tire & Auto Shop, 1938, Henderson's Directory

Description: I CLAIM:-

1. In a distributor for distributing loose substances, a hopper having a discharge opening, an endless conveyor therein, means for moving the conveyor, to discharge material through the discharge opening, and deflector means adjacent the discharge opening.
2. In a distributor for distributing loose substances, a hopper, a discharge opening, a transverse shaft revolubly mounted in one end of the hopper, a frame pivotly mounted upon the shaft, an endless conveyor carried by the frame, means for driving the shaft, drive means between the shaft and the conveyor whereby to impart motion to the conveyor to move material to the discharge opening, means for controlling rotation of the shaft and deflector means adjacent the discharge opening.
3. A distributor for distributing substances from an aircraft comprising in combination with the craft a hopper mounted thereon having a discharge opening at one end and a feed door at the other end, an endless conveyor in the hopper, and means for moving the conveyor to discharge material through the discharge opening.
4. A distributor for distributing substances from an aircraft comprising in combination with the craft a hopper mounted thereon having a discharge opening upon its underside, an endless conveyor in the hopper, and means for moving the conveyor to discharge material through the discharge opening and means for controlling said driving means.
5. A distributor for distributing substances from an aircraft comprising in combination with the craft a hopper mounted thereon having a discharge opening upon its underside, a transverse shaft mounted upon the shaft, an endless conveyor carried by the frame, means for driving the shaft, drive means between the shaft and conveyor whereby to impart motion to the conveyor to move material to the discharge opening, and means for controlling rotation of the shaft.
6. A distributor for distributing substances from an aircraft comprising in combination with the craft a hopper mounted thereon having a discharge opening upon its under side, a transverse shaft mounted in one end of the hopper, a frame pivotly mounted upon the shaft, a transverse shaft mounted in the frame, a roller mounted on the shafts, a sprocket wheel associated with each roller, a sprocket chain trained therearound, a conveyor belt trained about said rollers, and propeller means operatively connected with one of the shafts.
7. A distributor for distributing substances from an aircraft comprising in combination with the craft a hopper mounted thereon having a discharge opening upon its under side, a transverse shaft mounted in one end of the hopper, a frame pivotly mounted upon the shaft, a transverse shaft mounted in the frame, a roller mounted on the shafts, a sprocket wheel associated with each roller, a sprocket chain trained therearound and means for controlling rotation of the shafts.
8. A distributor for distributing substances from an aircraft comprising in combination with the craft a hopper mounted thereon having a discharge opening upon its under side, a transverse shaft mounted in one end of the hopper, a frame pivotly mounted upon the shaft, a transverse shaft mounted in the frame, a roller mounted on the shafts, a sprocket wheel associated with each roller, a sprocket chain trained therearound, a conveyor belt trained about said rollers, a gear on one of the shafts, a gear in mesh therewith, propeller means for driving said last named gear, and means for controlling rotation of said shafts.
9. A distributor for distributing substances from an aircraft comprising in combination with the craft of a hopper mounted thereon having a discharge opening upon its under side, a transverse shaft mounted in one end of the hopper, a frame pivotly mounted upon the shaft, a shaft mounted in the frame, a roller mounted on the shafts, a sprocket wheel associated with each roller, a sprocket chain trained therearound, a conveyor belt trained about said rollers, a gear upon the first named shaft, a housing fixed to the hopper, a shaft journelled therein in alignment with the first named shaft, a flexible coupling between said shafts, a propeller shaft journelled in the housing and extending exteriorly thereof, a gear on the shaft in mesh with the first named gear, a propeller carried by said propeller shaft, and means on said propeller shaft for controlling rotation of the first named shaft.

In Testimony whereof I have affixed my signature.

Inventor sign full name.
