Claims—1. In a device of the character described, the combination of a framework, means for propelling the same through the air, a pair of wings mounted upon the framework and mounted to swing relatively thereto, and connections from one of said wings to the other for rendering the movement of the wings interdependent.

5. In an aeroplane comprising a framework, a motor
mounted thereupon, a pulley driven by said motor, a connecting rod connected with said pulley and driven thereby, a plane connected with said connecting rod. a crank pivotally supporting one end of said plane, and a swinging member pivotally supporting the opposite end of said plane.

7. A device of the character described comprising a swinging member, a wing pivotally connected therewith, a revoluble crank connected with said wing, a connecting rod connected to said wing, and means for actuating said connecting rod so as to cause said wing to give a downward and backward thrust.
