Claim.—1. A vegetable sorting machine comprising a bottom frame, a top frame carried by the bottom frame, a screen box mounted forwardly and rearwardly pivotally upon cross shafts having the ends turned upwardly and pivotally secured to the upper frame, an under and top screen in the screen box, said screens being spaced apart, a deflecting means inserted between the screens and designed to deflect material passed over the under screen to one side of the box and a deflecting means located above the top screen and designed to deflect material passed over said screen to the other side of the box, as and for the purpose specified.

2. A vegetable sorting machine comprising an under frame, a top frame supported from the under frame, a screen box carried by the top frame and pivotally mounted forwardly and rearwardly on cross shafts having the ends directed upwardly and pivotally secured to the top frame, a permanent bottom screen and a removable top screen, said screens being spaced apart, a deflecting means inserted between the ends of the screen at one end of the box and designed to direct material passed over the under screen to one side of the box, a deflecting means located above the top screen designed to deflect material passed over said screen to the other side of the box and a tray adjoining the rear end of the screen box, as and for the purpose specified.

3. A vegetable sorting machine comprising an under frame, a top frame carried by the under frame, a screen box pivotally mounted on front and rear cross shafts having the ends thereof turned upwardly and pivotally fastened to the top frame, said front shaft being adjustably connected to said frame, a bottom screen permanently secured within the screen box, a top screen reasonably secured within The screen box and spaced from the bottom screen, a deflecting means located at the rear end of the box and between the screens adapted to direct material passed over the under screen to one side of the box, a deflecting means located above the upper screen at the rear end of the box and directed to deflect material passed over the same to the other side of the box. a tray adjoining the rear end of the box, a bracket secured to the rear end of the tray, and a wedge shaped member inserted between the bracket and tray forming two chutes, as and for the purpose specified.

4. A vegetable sorting machine comprising a bottom frame supplied rearwardly with a platform, a top frame carried by the bottom frame in advance of the platform, a screen box, a rear cross shaft pivotally secured to the rear end of the screen box and having the ends thereof directed upwardly and pivotally fastened to the top frame, a forward cross shaft pivotally secured to the screen box and having the ends thereof directed upwardly and adjustable connected to the top frame, a stationary screen in the screen box, a removable top screen within the screen box and spaced from the bottom screen, a deflecting member located at the rear end of the box and between the screens and designed to direct material passed over the bottom screen to one side of said box. a deflecting member located above the top screen at the back and designed to deflect material passed over the same to the opposite side of the box, a tray adjoining the rear end of the box, a rod secured to the box and passing forwardly through the top frame, said rod having the extending end threaded and provided with an adjusting nut, a spring inserted between the adjusting nut and the frame, a bracket secured to the tray and extending to the rear of the same and a wedge-shaped member inserted between the bracket and the tray, as and for the purpose specified.
