Claim.—1. A corset stay as described, consisting of a single strip of rectangular flat wire formed into a zig-zag shape, the straight portions oblique alternately right and left, each of the adjacent straight portions being united W a curved portion and having the extremities of the stay bent back on itself in a semi-circular manner to avoid causing harm to the person wearing such stay, the said stay being stitched to the material at each of the straight potions, the curved connecting portions being free of the garment so as to effect lasting placement of the stay within the folds of the garment whilst permitting proper flexibility of the said stay.
