Grader and Ditcher (Patent No: 333206)

Inventor: Burnstad Grading Machine Company Limited, (assignee)

Location: Edmonton

Comments: N/A

Description: WHAT I CLAIM IS:-

1. In a road grader and ditcher, a frame mounted on suitable running gear, a plow share and parts forming a path for the removed dirt and a conveyer slung to an adjusted position in relation to said parts and extended rearwardly offside from the straight line of direction.

2. In a road grader and ditcher, a frame having a main beam and laterally projecting beams therefrom converging to a third wheel structure, a. plow share and parts forming a path for the removed dirt and a conveyer slung to an adjusted position in relation to said parts and extended rearwardly offside from the straight line of direction.

3. In a road grader and ditcher, a frame having a main beam and laterally extending beams to a third wheel structure and including an elevated beam forming a support, a pair of booms from a common swivel point resting on said main beam and adjustable on said elevated beam, a plow share and parts forming a path for the removed dirt and a conveyer slung to an adjusted position in relation to said parts and extended rearwardly offside from the straight line of direction.

4. In a road grader and ditcher, a frame having a main beam, laterally extending beams to a third wheel structure, a third wheel fork having a forward extension, a fender bar supported from the main beam and resiliently engaging said fork extension and booms from a common swivel extending rearwardly and supported and having suspending chains therefrom, a plow share and parts forming a path for the removed dirt and a conveyer slung to an adjusted position in relation to said parts and extended rearwardly offside from the straight line of direction.

5. In a road grader and ditcher, a frame mounted on suitable running gear, a plow share in plate form having a bent end for digging and guiding the dirt and a mold board continuing the path to a conveyer and a conveyer slung to an adjusted position in relation to said parts and extended rearwardly offside from the straight line of direction.

6. In a road grader and ditcher, a frame mounted on suitable running gear, a plow share having a blade with a front corner turned inwardly to form a guide and digging point and inclined rearwardly in line with a mold board adjustably connected to 2 conveyer and a conveyor slung to an adjusted position in relation to said parts and extended rearwardly offside from the straight line of direction.

7. In a road grader and ditcher, a frame and running gear, a plow supported thereby and a conveyer formed of an endless belt mounted on a frame and suitably driven and adjustable in relation to said plow.

8. In a road grader and ditcher, a vehicle frame and running gear having a rigidly supported journal bearing for the landslide running member, a plow and plow mechanism in advance of said land side wheel and a discharge conveyer directed angularly in relation to the frame and rearwardly and adjustable in regard to the elevation' at 'the inner and outer 'ends.

9. In a road grader and ditcher, a conveyer in trough form having an endless belt for the bottom and suspended at the inner and outer ends for determining the elevations and a plow suitably supported and operated and having a mold board for directing the material to said trough.

10. In a road grader and ditcher, a conveyer in trough form having an endless belt bottom suitably mounted and driven, a plow and mold board suitably supported and operated, elevating and lowering mechanism for raising the conveyer above the mold board and for lowering it under the mold board and means for suspending the outer end, of the conveyer.

11. In a road grader and ditcher, a vehicle plow rigid with a plow beam extending forwardly to the front of the vehicle and flexibly suspended from the vehicle frame and having an offset upwardly at the rear end and pivoted to said frame.

12. In a road grader and ditcher, a plow mechanism attached to a vehicle and having a pivotally hung gravity operating support from a vehicle frame and a plow share rigidly secured to a standard extending upwardly to said support, a colter and a mold board stationary in relation to said standard.

13. In a road grader and ditcher, a plow mechanism attached to a vehicle and having a pivotally hung gravity operating support, formed of horizontal and vertical sections attached to the front end of the horizontal section to an operating cable from a vehicle and pivoted at the upper end of the vertical section, a hanger extending upwardly to said horizontal section and carried thereby in the plow adjustments, a plow share mold board and colter rigidly secured to said hanger and manually operating member for adjusting said pivotally hung support through said cable suspending member.

14. In a road grader and ditcher. a plow mechanism attached to a vehicle and having a pivotally hung gravity operating support, comprising a plow beam extending rearwardly from the front and suspended from a vehicle frame, a hanger extending upwardly and secured to said beam, a landside rigidly secured to said standard and to a brace from said beam and to a vertical pivoted post, a plow share, a mold board, and a colter stationary with said hanger, and means for suspending and operating said beam.

15. In a road grading ditcher, a plow mechanism attached to a vehicle and having a pivotally hung gravity operating support, comprising a crank lever structure and plow share colter and mold board supported thereby and means for suspending the long section of laid structure from the front of a vehicle for operating on its pivoted short section towards the rear of the vehicle.,

16. In a road grader and ditcher, a plow share formed of a cutting plate tapered and turned at its front cutting edge and extending rearwardly to a plow hanger and upwardly to a mold board and rearwardly to a landside and an adjustable support from a vehicle for said standard.

17. In a road grader and ditcher, a plow share of plate formation having a cutting edge bent cornerwise at the upper front end and secured to a hanger together with mold board, colter and landside plate and supported by an adjustable beam suspended at each end and operated from a vehicle.

18. A Plowing mechanism suitably supported from a vehicle and having a plow share turned rearwardly above the cutting edge to form a guiding surface to a mold board supported with said share to a hanger rigidly secured to an adjustable member carried by said vehicle.

19. In a road grader and ditcher, a vehicle frame and running gear and a conveyer supported by the inner end and adapted to swing forwardly or rearwardly and be held to a fixed position during operations.

20. In a road grader and ditcher, a vehicle frame and suitable running gear and plow mechanism, a conveyer extending from said plow mechanism and pivotally secured to the rear thereof and adapted to swing forwardly and rearwardly and be rigidly held in the operating position and booms pivotally mounted at their inner meeting ends and having suspension members for said conveyer at the outer end thereof and a support for said booms forming a track for sliding the booms to rear or intermediate position in the setting of the conveyer in respect to the disposition of the dirt.
