Description: Ernest Bartlett, Calgary, Alberta, Canada, 8th April, 1930. Filed 1st March,1929. Serial No. 347,403.

Claim.—1. A bottle cleaner, including a central stem, toggle arms extended radially from said stem in pairs, elongated brush bodies carried on said pairs of toggle arms and having inwardly bent portions, brush bristles clamped in said brush bodies by the edges of the latter, and a handle for said stem.

2. A bottle cleaner including a stem, a plurality of brushes arranged around and parallel with said stem within inwardly directed upper portions, a pair of toggle arms for each brush, said toggle arms being pivotally connected with said stem and with said brushes, said brushes having their body portions in the form of channel arms with their free edges turned inwardly at an angle to form a spring grip, brush bristles clamped between the inwardly turned edges at each of said brush bodies, said brush bodies having their opposite ends closed, and a transverse handle carried on the outer end of said stem.

3. A bottle cleaner including a stem, a plurality of brushes arranged around and parallel with said stem, said brushes having inwardly turned portions, a pair of toggle arms pivotally connected with each of said brushes and with said stem, whereby said brushes may be forced outwardly from one another and from said stem as the latter is forced into a bottle after insertion of the brushes therein, and a handle carried on the outer end of said stem.
