Description: The embodiments of the invention in which an exclusive property or privilege is claimed are defined as follows:

1. An expandable stand for coffee pots and the like, comprising in combination two pairs of members, each pair comprising two legs pivotally connected together by one end thereof, said pairs lying in opposed overlapping relationship and being pivotally connected together intermediate the ends thereof thereby forming a lazy tong movement, a pot base perimeter engaging arm extending upwardly at right angles upon each free end of each of said legs, spring means extending between one leg of one pair and one leg of the other pair of legs normally maintaining said device in the closed position and clamping said arms to said pot base perimeter when in use.

2. The device according to Claim 1 which includes opposing shoulders formed on each of said legs adjacent the junction therebetween to limit the closing action of said stand.
