Description:
The embodiments of the invention in which an exclusive property or privilege is claimed are defined as follows:

In an apparatus for forming pellets of thermoplastic material comprising a hollow, circular die provided with a plurality of extrusion orifices spaced around its periphery; at least one knife located within said die and adapted to revolve along a path parallel to the internal die face; means for supporting and revolving said knife; means adapted to forward molten thermoplastic material through said extrusion orifices; means for forwarding a liquid through the open internal core of said die for the purpose of cooling the extruded thermoplastic material and conveying it away immediately after it has been cut; and a circular extrusion channel surrounding said die from which the thermoplastic material passes to the extrusion orifices; the improvement which comprises a tangential entry for the thermoplastic material to said extrusion channel.
