Claim.—1. In a candelabrum the combination with a tripod base, a cylindrical casing mounted thereon, a plurality of spring: elements engaged in said casing, their inner ends extending radially adapted to make contact with an entered article whereby it may be held in a vertical position therewithin, and washers Interposed between rows of said springs.
2. In a candelabrum the combination with a tripod base, a cylindrical casing mounted rigidly thereon, a plurality of conically wound spiral springs secured in said easing, their smaller ends extending towards the center, space elements secured in said casing having openings through the center, a cover secured over said casing, said cover having an opening through which a candle may pass, and a plurality of spring impelled plates adapted to engage with the exterior of the candle forming a yielding support.
3. A candelabrum comprising a base, a hollow cylindrical casing mounted thereon, a cover for said casing, said cover having a central opening, a plurality of spacer elements secured to said casing, said spacer elements having openings corresponding to the openings in the cover plate, a plurality of conically wound springs arranged in upper and lower rows secured to the walls of said casing extending radially therein, a plurality of plates having arcuate faces pivoted below said cover plate, springs adapted to draw said arcuate plates inwardly forming a partial cover below the main cover and adapted to support a candle when positioned therebetween.
