Process of Casting Dental Plates (Patent No: 144006)

Inventor: Cruickshank, James R.

Location: Calgary

Comments: N/A

Description: Claim
1. A process of casting dental plates which connects in forming a mould, duplicating the lines of the mouth, casting a second mould in said first mould, spacing said moulds apart, and casting a plate between the two ????.
2. A process of castings dental plates which consists in ???? an impression of the mouth, casting a model therein, casting a mould in the model, spacing the model and mould apart, and introducing molten metal under pressure ???? the mould and model.
3. A process of casting dental plates which consists in making a model, duplicating the rugae of the mouth, embedding the model in investment material within the inverted cope of a flask, painting the surface of the model and investment material with a parting material, casting a mould of investment material within the inverted drag of a flask from the model, inserting a washer between the cope and drag whereby the mould and washer are spaced apart, and forcing molten metal under pressure between said mould and model.
4. A process of casting dental plates which consists in making a model of the mouth, forming a runner and air vents through said model, investing the model in the inverted cope of a flask, forming a recess and continuation of the air vents in the investment, embedding a pouring spout in said recess, and forming a continuation of the runner through said pouring spout.
5. A process of casting dental plates which consists in making a model of the mouth, forming a pouring runner and air vents through the model, investing the model in the inverted cope of a flask, casting a mould from said model in the inverted drag of the flask, righting the flask, investing a pouring spout containing a continuation of the pouring runner in the investment in the cope, and forcing metal under pressure into the mould.
6. A process for casting dental plates which consists in making a model of the mouth, applying a band of ductile metal around the base of the teeth seat, building up a tooth retaining ridge of wax around said metal band, casting a mould above the model, and forcing metal under pressure between the mould and model.
7. A process of casting in metal which consists in making one half of the mould from a pattern, moving the pattern and making the second half of the mould in the first half, separating the two halves of the mould a suitable distance, and pouring the molten metal.
