Description: Having thus described my invention, what I claim as new and desire to secure by Letters Patent is:-

1. Piano String Tuning and Retaining Means including string holding pages rotatable in the peg supporting board and extending though one face thereof; tuning key shafts rotatable in said board and supported therein at right angles to said pegs with an end of each of said shafts projecting though a face of the board at right angles to the face though which the said pegs extend and worm gear connections between each of said pegs and one of said shafts.
2. Piano string tuning and retaining means including the combination with the pegs supporting board; of string holding pegs rotatable in said board; key tuning shafts rotatable in said board at right angles to said pegs; said shafts and said pegs being arranged in pairs and having their outer ends projecting from said board; supporting plates on the faces of said board through which said pegs and said shafts project; said shafts having squared key receiving outer ends; and a worm drive connection between each of said shafts and the leg controlled thereby.
3. Piano string tuning and retaining means including a board having series of pockets arranged therein and opening in pairs on faces at right angles to one another; plates carried on said faces of the board and having openings registering with said pockets; sockets provided at the inner ends of said pockets; series of pairs of string holding pegs and tuning key shafts rotatable in the respective pockets with their inner ends resting in said sockets; said pegs and shafts having their outer ends projecting through said plate; the outer ends of said shafts being squared to receive a tuning key; and a worm drive connection between the peg and shaft of each pair to prevent turning of said pegs except by turning of the respective shafts with the key.
